Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco ISO XR on ASR 9000 Series Router. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user can send a large number of specially crafted packets to the target device to trigger a flaw in the punt policer implementation on Trident line cards to overload the card's CPU or the Route Processor CPU and deny service for some traffic queues.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCun83985 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can cause denial of service conditions for some traffic queues.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
