Description:   Several vulnerabilities were reported in EMC Documentum Content Server. A remote authenticated user can gain elevated privileges on the target system. A remote authenticated user can execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system. A remote authenticated user can inject DQL commands.

A remote authenticated non-privileged user can create system objects with super user privileges to gain elevated privileges on the target system [CVE-2014-2506].

A remote authenticated user can send specially crafted data to inject shell commands [CVE-2014-2507].

The software does not properly validate user-supplied input in certain DQL hints. A remote authenticated user can supply a specially crafted parameter value to execute DQL commands on the underlying database [CVE-2014-2508]. Pedro Laguna from Pentura reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote authenticated non-privileged user can gain elevated privileges on the target system.

A remote authenticated user can execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.

A remote authenticated user can execute DQL commands on the underlying database.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (Content Server 6.7 SP1 P28, 6.7 SP2 P14, 7.0 P15, 7.1 P05; Advisory ESA-2014-046).
