Description:   Two vulnerabilities were reported in Cisco IOS XR. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user can send a specially crafted DHCP version 6 (DHCPv6) packet to cause the target DHCPv6 server process to stop stop processing DHCPv6 requests.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCul80924 to this vulnerability.

A remote user can send a specially crafted DHCPv6 packet to cause the target DHCPv6 server process to crash.

The vendor has assigned bug IDs CSCum85558, CSCum20949, CSCul61849, and CSCul71149 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can cause the target DHCPv6 service to hang or crash.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
