Description:   Multiple vulnerabilities were reported in Mozilla Firefox. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions. A remote user can conduct cross-site scripting attacks. A local user can gain elevated privileges.

A remote user can create specially crafted HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a memory corruption error and execute arbitrary code on the target system [CVE-2014-1518, CVE-2014-1519]. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

On Windows-based systems, a local user can place a DLL file within a temporary directory used by the Mozilla Maintenance Service to cause the service to execute code with the privileges of the target user [CVE-2014-1520].

An out-of-bounds memory read may occur with Web Audio, leading to code execution [CVE-2014-1522].

A remote user can send a specially crafted JPEG image to cause the target user's browser to crash [CVE-2014-1523].

A buffer overflow may occur in nsXBLProtoImpl::InstallImplementation(), leading to code execution [CVE-2014-1524].

A use-after-free may occur in mozilla::dom::TextTrack::AddCue(), leading to code execution [CVE-2014-1525].

A remote user can trigger a flaw in the debugger to bypass XrayWrappers and cause the target user's browser to execute arbitrary scripting code [CVE-2014-1526].

On Android-based systems, a remote user can spoof the address bar after it has been rolled off the screen [CVE-2014-1527].

A crash may occur in the Cairo graphics library, leading to code execution [CVE-2014-1528].

A remote authenticated web site with notification permissions can exploit a flaw in the Web Notification API to execute arbitrary code on the target user's browser [CVE-2014-1529].

A remote user can exploit a flaw in docshell to set the address bar to a different URL to conduct cross-site scripting attacks [CVE-2014-1530].

A use-after-free may occur in nsGenericHTMLElement::GetWidthHeightForImage(), leading to code execution [CVE-2014-1531].

A use-after-free may occur in libxul.so!nsHostResolver::ConditionallyRefreshRecord(), leading to code execution [CVE-2014-1532].

Juho Nurminen, Jukka Jylanki, Mariusz Mlynski, moz_bug_r_a4, Nils, Tyson Smith and Jesse Schwartzentruber of the BlackBerry Security Automated Analysis Team, and Boris Zbarsky reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can create content that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.

A remote user can cause the target user's browser to crash.

A remote user can access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the target site, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.

A local user can gain elevated privileges.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (29.0).
