Description:   A vulnerability was reported in OpenSSL. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions. Splunk is affected.

A remote server can send specially crafted TLS handshake data to trigger a null pointer exception and cause the target client to crash.

Anton Johansson reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote server can cause the connected client to crash.
Solution:   Splunk has issued a fix (6.0.3).

The vendor has assigned SPL-78823 to this vulnerability.
