Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Sudo. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

On systems with the env_reset option disabled in the sudoers file, a local user with sudo permissions can exploit a logic flaw in validate_env_vars() to execute arbitrary commands on the target system with elevated privileges.

Impact:   A local user with sudo permissions can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (1.7.10p8, 1.8.5).
