Description:   A vulnerability was reported in MaraDNS. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user (with an IP address that has permission to perform recursive queries against Deadwood) can send a specially crafted packet to cause the target service to crash.

Systems that use the Deadwood recursive resolver are affected.

Impact:   A remote user can cause the target service to crash.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (1.4.14, 2.0.09).
