Description:   Multiple vulnerabilities were reported in Mozilla Firefox. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system. A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user can create specially crafted content that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a memory corruption error and execute arbitrary code on the target system [CVE-2014-1477, CVE-2014-1478]. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

A remote user can bypass System Only Wrappers (SOW) by using XML Binding Language (XBL) content scopes to clone protected XUL elements and obtain potentially sensitive information [CVE-2014-1479].

A remote user can exploit a lack of timeout in dialog button selection to spoof dialog buttons and cause downloaded files to be opened instead of saved [CVE-2014-1480].

The native getters on window objects are handled differently by different JavaScript engines, which may allow some security checks to be bypassed [CVE-2014-1481].

A remote user can exploit a flaw in RasterImage to write to other memory locations and potentially cause the application to crash [CVE-2014-1482].

A remote user can use 'document.caretPositionFromPoint' and 'document.elementFromPoint' functions to bypass same-origin policy and obtain potentially sensitive information [CVE-2014-1483].

A remote user can supply a specially crafted XSLT stylesheet to execute scripting code on the target system [CVE-2014-1485].

A remote user can trigger a use-after-free in the imgRequestProxy() function [CVE-2014-1486].

A remote user can exploit a Web Worker error message flaw to obtain potentially sensitive information from a different domain [CVE-2014-1487].

A page that loads in the same tab as the default Firefox start page (about:home) can run a script to activate the buttons that had been displayed on the about:home page. This can be exploited to potentially obtain settings and history content [CVE-2014-1489].

When a web worker running 'asm.js' code is terminated after transferring an object between threads, remote code may be executed [CVE-2014-1488].

Some flaws in libssl's session ticket processing may allow a local user to gain elevated privileges or a remote user to execute arbitrary code [CVE-2014-1490].

The system may use an incorrect public Diffie Hellman key value [CVE-2014-1491].

Prosecco research team at INRIA Paris, and Boris Zbarsky reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can create content that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.

A remote user can obtain potentially sensitive information.

A local user may be able to obtain elevated privileges.

A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (27.0).
