Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Cisco IP Phones. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

A local user can mount a filesystem containing a specially crafted set user ID (setuid) binary and then execute the file to gain full control of the target system.

Cisco Unified IP Phone models 9951, 9971, and 8961 are affected.

The vendor has assigned bug ID CSCui04382 to this vulnerability.

Red Balloon Security reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can full control of the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
