Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Splunk. A remote authenticated user can execute arbitrary shell scripts on the target system.

A remote authenticated user can exploit some testing and troubleshooting shell scripts included with Splunk to execute arbitrary arbitrary shell scripts on the target system.

The vendor has assigned SPL-70250 to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote authenticated user can execute arbitrary shell scripts on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (5.0.5).
