Impact:   Disclosure of system information, Execution of arbitrary code via network, User access via network
Fix Available:  Yes  Vendor Confirmed:  Yes
Version(s): prior to 24.1
Description:   Multiple vulnerabilities were reported in Mozilla Thunderbird. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system. A remote user can spoof URLs.

A remote user can create specially crafted HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a memory corruption error and execute arbitrary code on the target system [CVE-2013-5590, CVE-2013-5591, CVE-2013-5592].

A remote user can create arbitrary HTML within '<select>' elements in arbitrary locations to spoof the displayed URL address bar [CVE-2013-5593].

A remote user can trigger buffer overflows in the JavaScript engine to potentially execute arbitrary code [CVE-2013-5595].

A remote user can trigger a race condition in nsDocLoader::doStopDocumentLoad() in object processing on extremely large pages to potentially execute arbitrary code [CVE-2013-5596].

A remote user can trigger a use-after-free in updating the offline cache to potentially execute arbitrary code [CVE-2013-5597].

A remote user can trigger a use after free in nsIPresShell::GetPresContext() to potentially execute arbitrary code [CVE-2013-5599].

A remote user can trigger a use after free in nsIOService::NewChannelFromURIWithProxyFlags() to potentially execute arbitrary code [CVE-2013-5600].

A remote user can trigger a use after free in nsEventListenerManager::SetEventHandler() to potentially execute arbitrary code [CVE-2013-5601].

A remote user can trigger a memory corruption flaw in the JavaScript engine in Worker::SetEventListener() to potentially execute arbitrary code [CVE-2013-5602].

A remote user can trigger a use-after-free in nsContentUtils::ContentIsHostIncludingDescendantOf() in the processing of HTML document templates to potentially execute arbitrary code [CVE-2013-5603].

A remote user can trigger a stack overflow in txXPathNodeUtils::getBaseURI() to potentially execute arbitrary code [CVE-2013-5604].

Jesse Ruderman, Christoph Diehl, Vladimir Vukicevic, Gary Kwong, Kannan Vijayan, Jordi Chancel, Abhishek Arya (Inferno) of the Google Chrome Security Team, Dan Gohman of Google, Ezra Pool, Byoungyoung Lee of Georgia Tech Information Security Center (GTISC), and Nils reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can create HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.

A remote user can spoof URLs.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (24.1).
