Description:   Two vulnerabilities were reported in Apache Struts. A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

A remote user can send a specially crafted action name to trigger an action mapping wildcard matching error and execute arbitrary OGNL code on the target system [CVE-2013-2134].

A remote user can send a specially crafted request containing "${}" and "%{}" character sequences to cause 'TextParseUtil.translateVariables' to double evaluate the OGNL code, potentially executing arbitrary code [CVE-2013-2135].

Jon Passki from Coverity Security Research Laboratory reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (2.3.14.3).
