Description:   Two vulnerabilities were reported in EMC Avamar. A remote authenticated user can gain full control of the target system. A remote user can conduct cross-frame scripting attacks.

A remote authenticated user can invoke Java RMI method calls to gain full control of the target system [CVE-2013-3274].

The Avamar web interface does not properly filter HTML code from user-supplied input before displaying the input [CVE-2013-3275]. A remote user can cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the target user's browser. The code will originate from the site running the EMC Avamar software and will run in the security context of that site. As a result, the code can access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site or take actions on the site acting as the target user.

Systems running on running on Avamar Data Store Gen3, Gen4, or Avamar Data Store Gen4s hardware are affected by these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote authenticated user can gain full control of the target system.
