Description:   Two vulnerabilities were reported in McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator. A remote user can inject SQL commands and execute arbitrary code. A remote user can upload files to the target system.

The Agent-Handler component (Agent-Server communication channel) does not properly validate user-supplied input [CVE-2013-0140]. A remote user can supply a specially crafted parameter value to execute SQL commands on the underlying database and execute arbitrary code with System privileges.

The file upload process does not properly validate user-supplied input [CVE-2013-0141]. A remote user can supply a specially crafted request to upload files to the target system under the ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) installation folder.

Jerome Nokin from Verizon Enterprise Solutions (GCIS Vulnerability Management) reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can execute SQL commands on the underlying database and execute arbitrary code with System privileges.

A remote user can upload files to the target system.

Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (4.5.7, 4.6.6, 5.0).
