Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Xen. A local guest user can cause denial of service conditions on the host system.

A local administrative user on a guest operating system can release a non-v1 non-transitive grant after performing a grant copy operation to cause Xen to release an unrelated grant reference. This may result in denial of service conditions on the target host system.

The user may also be able to obtain potentially sensitive information or obtain elevated privileges, but this was not confirmed in the report.

Impact:   A local user on the guest system can cause denial of service conditions on the target host system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (xsa50-4.1.patch).
