Description:   A vulnerability was reported in IBM AIX. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

A local user can exploit a symlink flaw in 'libodm.a' to overwrite files on the target system. This can be exploited to gain elevated privileges on the target system.

Jakub Wartak reported this vulnerability. Tim Brown from Portcullis Computer Security Ltd provided additional information.

Impact:   A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix.
