Description:   Two vulnerabilities were reported in Novell iManager. A remote authenticated user can execute arbitrary code on the target system. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions. Novell eDirectory is affected by one vulnerability.

A remote authenticated user can send a specially crafted class name value when creating a new schema class to trigger a stack overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system [CVE-2010-1929]. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

A remote user can send specially crafted data to the login page to trigger an off-by-one error and cause the target service to crash [CVE-2010-1930].

The vendor was notified on April 8, 2010.

Francisco Falcon from Core Security Technologies reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote authenticated user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

Solution:   Novell has issued a fix for CVE-2010-1929 for Novell eDirectory (8.8 SP6 Patch 5).
