Description:   A vulnerability was reported in IBM SPSS SamplePower. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.

A remote user can create specially crafted HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a flaw in the VsVIEW6 ActiveX to execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

The CLSID of the vulnerable control is: 6E84D662-9599-11D2-9367-20CC03C10627

Andrea Micalizzi aka rgod reported these vulnerabilities via TippingPoint's Zero Day Initiative.

Impact:   A remote user can create HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.
Solution:   No solution was available at the time of this entry.

The vendor recommends disabling the vulnerable ActiveX control, as described in their advisory.
