Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Symantec Mail Security. A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

A remote user can send a specially crafted Lotus Freelance Graphics PRZ file to trigger a buffer overflow in the Verity KeyView Filter and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target service.

The vulnerability resides in the Autonomy Verity KeyView Filter component.

The following versions are affected:

Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange 6.x
Symantec Mail Security for Domino 8.x
Symantec Mail Security for Domino 7.5.x

Impact:   A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (SMSMSE 6.5.5, 6.0.12; SMSDOM 7.5.11, 8.0.8).
