Description:   Two vulnerabilities were reported in Helix Server. A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

A remote user can send a specially crafted x-wap-profile header value to trigger a format string flaw and execute arbitrary code on the target system [CVE-2010-4235].

A remote user can send specially crafted RTSP data to trigger a stack overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system [CVE-2010-4596].

Defrost reported these vulnerabilities via iDefense and TippingPoint's Zero Day Initiative.

Impact:   A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (14.2).
