Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Blue Coat ProxySG. A remote user can bypass JavaScript filtering.

The Active Content Transformation or Removal feature of ProxySG does not properly detect and filter JavaScript that is encoded using hex and UTF-8 entities. A remote user create content that can bypass the JavaScript filtering policy rules.

Impact:   A remote user can bypass the JavaScript filtering policy rules.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (5.4.5.1).

A fix is pending for 4.3, 5.5, and 6.1.
