Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Fetchmail. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions in certain cases.

When fetchmail is operating in debug mode, a remote user can send a specially crafted e-mail message or a remote server can return specially crafted data to cause the target service to allocate excessive memory and exit.

Specially crafted multibyte character sequences (multibyte locales) can trigger this flaw.

Impact:   A remote user can cause fetchmail to exit.
Solution:   Sun has issued a fix.
