Description:   A vulnerability was reported in MySQL. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user can send a specially crafted packet that is larger than the maximum allowed packet size to cause the target service to read packets indefinitely, consuming excessive CPU resources on the target system.

Impact:   A remote user can consume excessive CPU resources on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (5.1.47).
