Description:   A vulnerability was reported in IBM Lotus Notes. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

The SURunAs utility stores a Windows account and password that has administrator rights. A local user can view the password and use it to obtain elevated privileges.

IBM has assigned SPR #JSTN837SEG to this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can view an account password and gain elevated privileges on the target system.
Solution:   No solution was available at the time of this entry.

The vendor reports that the vulnerability is due to a limitation of the Windows API used.
