Description:   A vulnerability was reported in the Linux Kernel. A local user can cause denial of service conditions.

A local user can supply specially crafted data to the perf_counter_open() syscall to cause the kernel to copy the data to a small buffer, resulting in a kernel crash.

The vulnerability resides in 'kernel/perf_counter.c'.

Impact:   A local user can cause the kernel to crash.
