Description:   SeveraA vulnerabilities were reported in Squid. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user can send specially crafted requests or responses to cause the target service to crash.

The vulnerabilities are due to incorrect buffer size limits, incorrect bounds checking, and incorrect data validation.

Rob Middleton of Centenary Institute, Tuomo Untinen, Ossi Herrala, and Jukka Taimisto from the CROSS project at Codenomicon Ltd., and Alex Montoanelli of reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (3.0.STABLE17,
