Description:   A vulnerability was reported in libpng. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system. Mozilla Thunderbird is affected.

A remote user can create a specially crafted PNG image file that, when processed by the target application, will cause libpng to attempt to free uninitialized memory and potentially execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target application.



Impact:   A remote user can create a file that, when loaded by the target application, will execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Solution:   Mozilla has issued a fix for Thunderbird, which is affected by this vulnerability.
