Description:   A vulnerability was reported in IBM AIX. A local user may be able to obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

A local user can supply a specially crafted input string that is longer than 4000 characters to trigger a buffer overflow in 'pppdial' and execute arbitrary commands on the target system with elevated privileges.

Impact:   A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (APARS IZ44199, IZ44220, IZ44332, IZ44388).
