Description:   A vulnerability was reported in CUPS as distributed on Mandriva Linux. A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.

A local user can create a symbolic link (symlink) from a critical file on the system to the '/tmp/pdf.log' temporary file. Then, the local user can invoke CUPS to overwrite the symlinked file.

Impact:   A local user can obtain elevated privileges on the target system.
Solution:   Mandriva has issued a fix.

 Problem Description:

 A vulnerability has been discovered in CUPS shipped with Mandriva
 Linux which allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files via a
