Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Trend Micro OfficeScan. A local user can modify the firewall configuration.

The firewall service (TmPfw.exe) does not require authentication to modify the firewall configuration. A local user can send specially crafted packets to the service to modify the firewall settings.

The vendor was notified on October 22, 2008.

Carsten Eiram of Secunia reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can modify the target firewall configuration.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (8.0 SP1 Patch 1, Critical Patch - Server Build 3191).
