Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Helix Universal Server. A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

A remote user can send a specially crafted RTSP DESCRIBE request to trigger a heap overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target service.

Helix Mobile Server is also affected.

Noam Rathaus and TippingPoint reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fixed version (11.1.8, 12.0.1).
