Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Red Hat Directory Server. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user can send an LDAP search request against specially crafted data records to cause the target service to consume excessive CPU resources.

Ulf Weltman of Hewlett Packard reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can cause the target service to consume excessive CPU resources.
Solution:   HP has issued a fix for HP-UX.
