Impact:   Denial of service via network, Execution of arbitrary code via network, User access via network
Fix Available:  Yes  Vendor Confirmed:  Yes
Version(s): prior to 1.1.9
Description:   Some vulnerabilities were reported in Mozilla Firefox in the layout and JavaScript engines. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions. Mozilla Seamonkey is affected.

A remote user can create specially crafted HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a memory corruption error in the layout engine [CVE-2008-1236]. This may cause the browser to crash or potentially execute arbitrary code. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

The JavaScript engine may also crash or permit arbitrary code execution [CVE-2008-1237].

Tom Ferris, Seth Spitzer, Martin Wargers, John Daggett, Mats Palmgren, georgi, tgirmann, and Igor Bukanov reported these vulnerabilties.

Impact:   A remote user can create HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will cause the target user's browser to crash or execute arbitrary code.
Solution:   Mozilla has issued a fix for Seamonkey (1.1.9), which is affected by this vulnerability.
