Description:   A vulnerability was reported in IBM WebSphere MQ. A local user can bypass security restrictions to access a queue manager.

A local user can connect to a queue manager via a SVRCONN (MQ client) channel even if the channel is protected with a security exit or mcauserid.

No further details were provided.

IBM has assigned APAR IZ01272 to this vulnerability.

The Security Assurance Team of the National Australia Bank reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user can bypass security restrictions to access a queue manager.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fix (5.3 fix pack 14, 6.0.2.2).
