Description:   Two vulnerabilities were reported in Windows TCP/IP Stack. A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions on the target system.

If the ICMP Router Discovery Protocol (RDP) is enabled (not the default), a remote user can send specially crafted ICMP packets to cause the target system to stop responding and automatically restart.

A remote user can specially crafted IGMPv3 and MLDv2 packets to execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target service.

Alex Wheeler and Ryan Smith of ISS X-Force reported these vulnerabilities.

Impact:   A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target system.

A remote user can cause the target system to crash.

Solution:   The vendor has issued the following fixes.
