Description:   A vulnerability was reported in Symantec Mail Security. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.

A remote user can create a specially crafted Lotus 1-2-3 attachment that, when processed by the target application, will trigger a buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target application.

The vulnerability resides in the 3rd party Autonomy Verity KeyView SDK, which is used by Symantec Mail Security to process Lotus 1-2-3 file attachments.

Other applications that use the Verity KeyView SDK may be affected.

Impact:   A remote user can create a file that, when processed by the target application, will execute arbitrary code on the target system.
