Description:   A vulnerability was reported in HP Mercury Quality Center. A remote user can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.

A remote user can create specially crafted HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a stack overflow in the 'Spider90.ocx' ActiveX control used by HP Mercury Quality Center and execute arbitrary code on the target system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.

A specially crafted 'ProgColor' parameter value can trigger the overflow.

The vulnerable control has the following CLSID: 98C53984-8BF8-4D11-9B1C-C324FCA9CADE

The vendor was notified on February 16, 2007.

Eric Detoisien and and Titon & Ri0t of Bastard Labs discovered this vulnerability. iDefense reported this vulnerability.

Impact:   A remote user can create HTML that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.
Solution:   HP has issued the following patches.
