Version(s): 2.0 and later versions
Description:   Several vulnerabilities were reported in Bugzilla. A remote user can conduct cross-site scripting attacks.

Several scripts do not properly filter HTML code from user-supplied input before displaying the input. A remote user or administrator can cause arbitrary scripting code to be executed by the target user's browser. The code will originate from the site running the Bugzilla software and will run in the security context of that site. As a result, the code will be able to access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.

The 'showdependencygraph.cgi' script is affected. This vulnerability was introduced in version 2.15.

Administrator-provided data is not properly filtered when displaying page headers. This vulnerability was introduced in version 2.15.

User-provided data is not properly filtered when displaying descriptions of products, components, and other items. Only users specified by the administrator can exploit this flaw. This vulnerability was introduced in version 2.0.

Impact:   A remote user can access the target user's cookies (including authentication cookies), if any, associated with the site running the Bugzilla software, access data recently submitted by the target user via web form to the site, or take actions on the site acting as the target user.
Solution:   The vendor has issued fixed versions (2.18.6, 2.20.3, 2.22.1, and 2.23.3), available at:
