Description:   A vulnerability was reported in IBM AIX. A local user can gain elevated privileges.

The acctctl command uses the mkdir without specifying the absolute path. A local user in the 'adm' group can create an alternate mkdir binary and then cause the system to execute the alternate binary with root privileges.

Impact:   A local user can gain root privileges on the target system.
Solution:   IBM has issued a fix (APAR IY88681) for IBM AIX 5.3.
