Description:   A vulnerability was reported in VMware Server. A local user with certain privileges may be able to obtain user passwords.

When a target user connects to the console, user authentication credentials are stored in memory. A local user with privileges of access memory (or memory debug information) may be able to obtain the target user's password.

The vendor credits Bart Vanautgaerden with reporting this vulnerability.

Impact:   A local user with privileges of access memory (or memory debug information) may be able to obtain the target user's password.
