Description:   A vulnerability was reported in HP-UX. A local user may be able to gain unauthorized access to files and directories.

Certain versions of the HP-UX usermod(1M) command contain an unspecified vulnerability. A local user can supply specially crafted command options to change the ownership of all directories and files under a target user's new home directory. As a result, the user can gain access to those directories and files.

Impact:   A local user can gain access to certain files and directories on the target system.
Solution:   HP has issued the following patches, available at:

B.11.00 - install PHCO_34763 or subsequent.
B.11.11 - install PHCO_33142 or subsequent.
B.11.23 - install PHCO_34764 or subsequent.
