Description:   A vulnerability was reported in AlstraSoft EPay Pro. A remote user can view files on the target system.

The 'index.php' script does not properly validate user-supplied input in the 'read' parameter. A remote user can supply a specially crafted parameter value containing '../' directory traversal characters to view files on the target system.

A demonstration exploit URL is provided:

http://[target]/index.php?read=../../../../../../../../../../../../../../etc/passwd

Impact:   A remote user can view files on the target system with the privileges of the target web service.

EPay Pro version 2.0 and prior are vulnerable caused by an improper
validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker could embed in
the index.php etc/passwd containing embedded code in the payment or
send parameter which, once the link is clicked, would be executed to
see passwords within the security context of the hosting server. An
attacker could use this vulnerability to see all the victim's password
authentication credentials.
