Description:   A vulnerability was reported in HP NonStop Server in the T8403 DCE Core Services. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user can send specially crafted requests to the target DCE daemon to cause the daemon to fail. If the daemon fails, DCE-based applications on the target system may need to be restarted.

Impact:   A remote user can cause the target DCE daemon to crash.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a fixed version (SPR: T8403G06 ABJ). Some SPRs are required before applying the fix, as described in the vendor's advisory at:
