Description:
A buffer overflow vulnerability was reported in Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE). A remote user can execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.
Phuong Nguyen reported that a cascading style sheet (CSS) that contains certain character combinations (e.g., "<STYLE>@;/*") can cause IE to crash.
Microsoft reported that a remote user can create a specially crafted CSS that, when loaded by the target user, will execute arbitrary code on the target user's system. The code will run with the privileges of the target user.
This can be exploited via a web page or HTML-based e-mail.
