Description:   A vulnerability was reported in WebLogic Server and WebLogic Express on Linux. A local user may be able to view the password.

BEA Systems reported that when the system is booted and the password is entered via the WebLogic Administrative Console, the password may be displayed in some cases.

Impact:   A physically local user may be able to view the password on the administrative console.
Solution:   The vendor has provided the following fix informatoin [quoted]:

* For WebLogic Server 8.1: Upgrade to WebLogic Server 8.1 Service Pack 3

* For WebLogic Server and WebLogic Express 7.0 perform the following steps:
1. Upgrade to WebLogic Server 7.0 Service Pack 5
2. 2. Apply the patch contained in the following zip file:

* For WebLogic Server 6.1: Upgrade to WebLogic Server 6.1 Service Pack 7.

This fix will be included in WebLogic Server 7.0 Service Pack 6.
