Description:   A denial of service vulnerability was reported in MailEnable. A remote DNS server can cause the MailEnable service to crash.

The vendor reported that the SMTP process may crash when a remote domain name server returns more than 100 DNS MX records in response to a lookup.

Impact:   A remote DNS server can cause the mail service to crash.
Solution:   The vendor has released a hotfix for Standard Version 1.71 and later and for Professional version 1.18 and later, available at:
