Description:   A vulnerability was reported in the SGI IRIX gr_osview utility. A local user can gain root privileges.

In January 1997, the Last Stage of Delirium reported a buffer overflow vulnerability in gr_osview. A local user can reportedly supply a specially crafted '-D' command line option to execute arbitrary code with root privileges.
