Description:   Rob Kaper reported a potential race condition in the monopd board game daemon. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

It is reported that a remote user that is part of a running game can send a specially crafted message during certain game status conditions to trigger the race condition. A remote user can cause monopd to consume excessive CPU and network resources.

Impact:   A remote user that is part of an active game can cause monopd on the target system to consume excessive CPU and network resources.

allowing an attacker to cause a denial of service in monopd and excessive
consumption of CPU and network resources. To exploit this vulnerability, the
