Description:   A vulnerability was reported in expat. A remote user can cause denial of service conditions.

A remote user can supply an xml document containing an internal entity reference that requires expansion to consume excessive resources on the target system.

[Editor's note: The original report indicated that external entity references are also an exploit vector and CVE-2013-0341 was assigned to the external entity reference vulnerability. However, the report has since been withdrawn. This Alert has been updated accordingly.]
