Description:   A vulnerability was reported in VLC Media Player. A remote user may be able to cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.

A remote user can create a specially crafted TY file that, when loaded by the target user, will trigger a double free memory error in get_chunk_header() and potentially execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability resides in 'modules/demux/ty.c'.

Impact:   A remote user can create a file that, when loaded by the target user, may execute arbitrary code on the target user's system.
Solution:   The vendor has issued a source code fix. The fix will be included in a pending version (1.1.13).
